Ownership
Software you keep, like the machines it runs on
You wouldn’t rent your desk by the month and hand it back the day you stop paying. Cashel treats software the same way: buy once, own forever.
The deal
The Core is free with no licence. So is the CRM. Paid apps are a one-time purchase. Software here is never rented.
Buy once, keep forever
Pay for an app once and it is yours, on your machine, for as long as you want it.
Only services are ever a subscription
Software is bought once and owned; the only subscriptions are optional ongoing services — hosting, payments connectivity, and AI connectivity (bringing your own AI model). Run it yourself and there is no bill at all.
The day’s work doesn’t need the internet
The Core works without a connection. The marketplace, AI and sync need one; your day’s records don’t.
We take nothing per transaction
Never a commission, never a percentage of your own payment volume.
See what five years of renting costs
Subscription software charges per seat, per month, forever. Put your own numbers in. This is what renting costs a small team, and at the end you own nothing.
paid over five years, and at the end you own nothing.

Questions
What does Cashel cost?
The Core is free and needs no licence. So is the CRM. Paid apps are a one-time purchase you keep. Software is bought once and owned; the only subscriptions are optional ongoing services — hosting, payments connectivity, and AI connectivity (bringing your own AI model).
What happens if I stop paying?
Your app keeps working and your data stays yours, exportable. A lapsed licence degrades to read and export. It never bricks.
Is there a subscription?
Not for software, ever. The only subscriptions are optional ongoing services: hosting, if you’d rather we ran your machine than run it yourself; payments connectivity; and AI connectivity, if you connect a cloud AI model. Local AI models stay free. You can move back to self-hosting at any time, and we take nothing per transaction.
Does it work without internet?
The Core works without internet, so your day’s work doesn’t depend on a connection. The marketplace, AI features and syncing between machines need one.
Is Cashel a CRM?
No. Cashel is business software you own: a free foundation that apps stand on. One of the free apps is a CRM.
Can I run it in my own cloud?
Self-hosting means your own premises: your computer, or an always-on machine in your office. Cloud means Cashel Cloud, run by us as your own isolated setup. A rented virtual machine of your own is not a supported setup.
